Outdoor Event Styling on a Budget

Outdoor Event Styling on a Budget

Magazine-worthy outdoor events don't require magazine-sized budgets. The trick is knowing where to splurge and where to keep things simple.

Splurge on lighting. It's the single biggest visual impact for the dollar. Quality string lights, a few oversized candles, and you've already done 70% of the work.

Save on florals by going seasonal and local. Skip the imported peonies in November. A bucket of grocery store eucalyptus mixed with whatever's blooming nearby looks effortless and intentional.

Rent the big stuff, own the small stuff. Tables, chairs, and linens are cheaper to rent. But invest in a few beautiful serving boards, vintage cake stands, and ceramic vases you'll use again and again.

Use the venue. A garden venue already has greenery, character, and built-in beauty. Don't fight it with heavy decor — let the space do the work and add gentle accents.
